Oriol Olm Closes The World Cup With a 21st Place

Oriol Olm ended his participation in the Tromso Artick Skimo, the Mountain Skiing World Cup finals held in Norway, with a 21st position in the sprint race. The FAM skier, still under 20, traveled to the Nordic country to compete in the races and gain experience on the world circuit in the senior category.


After starting with a 35th place in the vertical race and not being able to complete the individual race, he finished these finals yesterday by narrowly missing the Top-20 with a 21st place in the sprint race.

Olm achieved the 17th best time in the qualifiers with a final time of 2'21"41, 12 seconds behind the best time. In the elimination phase, the FAM skier competed in the second of the quarter-finals series, where the top two and the best third advanced to the next round.

Olm ended up being fourth after being hindered by losing one of his poles during the race, and was unable to reach the semifinals, finishing in 21st position. The final victory went to Swiss skier Arno Leitha, accompanied on the podium by Catalan Oriol Cardona and Swiss Matteo Favre.
