The first vertical forest with trees in Barcelona will contain 104 plant species, many indigenous, which will serve as a refuge for birds and some pollinating animals. It is an initiative of the La Caixa Foundation, the Fair and the City Council that has been installed in the Caixa Forum.
The cultural facility thus celebrates the twentieth anniversary of its creation. The project, in which 150 professionals have worked, has been coordinated by the firm Jardinière Artistical Babylon, and becomes an integrating element of the city with the mountain and of art with nature, according to its promoters.
